Above, another video by Casa do Pego. The palafitic dock in Carrasqueira - Comporta is one of the most photographed sites in Portugal.
Located 10 minutes away from Casa do Pego, it’s a very old fishermen peer built and kept by the fishermen themselves.
Without a proper infrastructure, the fishermen improvised a palafitic dock, looking like a wooden skeleton, that has been changing throughout the years.
In the low tide, in some autumn and winter days, the palafitic dock gets this misterious and melancolic vibe, like a post-apocalyptic scenario.
